Purchasing Administrator £28K We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our procurement team within a leading engineering company. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive individual with a strong administrative background who is eager to develop their skills in purchasing and supply chain management. Prior experience in procurement is beneficial but not essentialfull training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Process and manage purchase orders for engineering materials, components, and services. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier details, and procurement documentation. Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, lead times, and pricing. Assist in tracking stock levels and coordinating with production and engineering teams to ensure timely supply. Support invoice processing, resolve discrepancies, and liaise with the finance team. Assist in sourcing new suppliers, obtaining quotations, and negotiating cost-effective purchasing solutions. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and industry regulations. Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including data entry, reporting, and document management. Key Skills & Experience: Strong administrative experience with a stable work history. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal teams. Ability to prioritise tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines. Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is advantageous but not essential .
