Description
If you’re an experienced, committed, creative and resilient social worker, we have an exciting opportunity within our Assessment and Intervention Team.
We’re looking for a qualified social worker to support our continuous improvement journey towards best practice, as evidenced within our recent positive inspection.
We want someone who is committed to achieving change for children and young people. Here in Wrexham, we are utilising the latest evidence-based and direct work to achieve positive outcomes for children – affording them the opportunity to reach their full potential and be kept safe.
Within the Assessment and Intervention Team, we offer protected caseloads. This gives Social Care staff the opportunity to work closely with families and children to effect change. In addition, we offer flexible working and an excellent work-life balance including remote working.
Wrexham is a rewarding place to work where you will receive outstanding supervision and support from the management team. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary of £40,476 - £43,693 per annum, an attractive local authority pension, paid annual leave, training and career development, plus a Recruitment and Retention incentive payment of £5,992.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake comprehensive assessments, child impact reports, and Section 37.
* Complete reports for initial child protection conferences and instigate urgent care proceedings in a small number of cases.
* Ensure all statutory requirements are undertaken, including visits, care planning, and other related functions.
* Demonstrate good assessment and report writing skills, and be analytical in determining how best to support the young people on your caseload.
We recognise that good quality health, safety, and wellbeing is integral to a healthy work-life balance, and we are proud to have created a positive environment where Social Workers can achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes.
Additional benefits:
* Up to 32 days annual leave per annum
* Access to a relocation package of up to £5,000
* Flexible working options and our commitment to supporting health and wellbeing
* Detailed induction programme
* Employee Assistance programme
