Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the CDMO space, capable of driving business growth and forging strong relationships with clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and client acquisitions.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and internal teams.
4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies and identify emerging trends.
5. Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company objectives and client needs.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
7. Represent us at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and attract new business.
8. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.
9. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the CDMO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
3. Proven track record of achieving business growth and developing successful client relationships.
4. Strong understanding of the drug development and manufacturing processes.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to think strategically and drive complex projects to completion.
7. Willingness to travel as required to meet business objectives.
