The Nursing Associate will provide evidence-based holistic care to patients that are registered within the Barnstaple PCN.
Skills would include sub cut and IM injections, catheters, Rocket drains, wound care including NPWT and larvae therapy, EOL care and many more. We would not expect you to have these skills already if coming from a different background and will support you to achieve these skills and be fully competent.
You will have a full induction period and the support of a large, friendly team.

Job responsibilities
Barnstaple Community Nursing Team are looking for a Band 4 Nursing Associate.
This role will allow you to support the management of a delegated caseload within the Community Nursing Team providing high quality and complex care management to patients in their own homes, with the guidance and support of an experienced Community Nurse Team Leader. The post holder will ensure high standards of care are delivered to patients and their families/carers within the home or clinic environment. This includes liaising with staff, patients/carers and other agencies/organisations as required to ensure appropriate delegation of duties and risk management, whilst ensuring effective communication between those involved in the care package. Barnstaple Community Nursing Team have a wide-ranging nursing skill mix and pride themselves on supporting professional development and improving high standards of community practice in line with current health policy. We are committed to ensuring you achieve the necessary competencies to work in the community and will fully support you as you transition.

This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week including some bank holidays and weekends. Part-time positions may also be available following discussion.
The post holder will need a mode of transport and be able to travel between patient homes in a timely manner.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
