Job Title: Business Development Manager - Healthcare
Location: East of England
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Package
The Client
Our client is a global electrical safety business that provides products that protect people, machines, and the environment against the direct and indirect hazards of electrical currents. They offer these solutions to various industries including Healthcare, Defence / MOD, Energy, Utilities, renewables, oil & gas, and Rail.
They are looking to add a Business Development Manager to their Healthcare team.
The Role of Business Development Manager - Healthcare
The purpose of the role of Business Development Manager is to plan and achieve entry into new markets and sectors adjacent to our client's current markets and deliver profitable sales in these areas.
1. Achieve budgeted volumes and margin after marketing spends
2. Manage and grow existing key accounts in line with annual targets
3. Develop new accounts within this sector in line with annual targets
4. Manage and report on an ongoing pipeline via the CRM and report back with any risks or new opportunities
5. Regular analysis of competitor activity and report back to the business on a regular basis
6. Regularly networking and attending trade shows to develop new business pipeline
7. Creation of profitable quotations ensuring a minimum of 33% net profit is achieved
8. Proactively manage and continually evaluate all account activity, providing options, recommendations, and solutions to potential issues and opportunities
9. Maintain close communication with other functions to ensure smooth implementation of all equipment and provide excellent customer service
10. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts
11. Maintain accurate account files within the CRM system and administrate effectively within deadlines
The Person
1. Experience of working in Sales in a similar industry
2. Experience of the electrical industry and knowledge of basic power system principles would be advantageous
3. Clean driving licence
4. Proven track record of delivering stretch sales targets
