The vacancy We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Behaviour Specialist Caseworker to join our Safeguarding and Counselling team. The successful candidate will support the Learning and Behaviour processes at DN Colleges Group, undertaking proactive and preventative work to promote positive behaviour among Further Education, Apprentices, and Higher Education students. This role involves working with students to improve engagement, resilience, and behaviour, using restorative and trauma-informed approaches. We are recruiting two Learning and Behaviour Caseworkers - one to be based at North Lindsey College (Scunthorpe), and one at Doncaster College. Scope and Purpose of the Role: The Learning and Behaviour Specialist Caseworker will support students and apprentices across the college community, addressing safeguarding concerns, promoting positive behaviour, and collaborating with internal and external partners. This role includes managing a caseload of students, providing advice and guidance to colleagues, and shaping policies and procedures to support positive behaviour. Essential Criteria: Degree-level qualification or equivalent, or significant recent experience specific to the role Experience working in an educational setting or relevant sector, providing support related to safeguarding, restorative practice, and/or trauma-informed approaches Ability to manage complex cases, including multi-agency working Knowledge of restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches Ability to identify Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and recognise signs of abuse, radicalisation, and extremism Ability to work autonomously with emotionally distressing matters Daily Responsibilities: Support students and apprentices within the college community using safeguarding, restorative practice, and trauma-informed approaches Manage a caseload of students, providing 1:1 and small group support to improve engagement and reduce challenging behaviour Collaborate with curriculum, safeguarding, security, and external partners to decrease behaviour incidents Assess and triage wellbeing and safeguarding referrals with Team Leaders Support and deliver CPD for colleagues on restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches To apply for this post click ‘Apply' now, for further information, contact staff.recruitmentdncolleges.ac.uk - please note that DN Colleges is closed from 19th December - 6th January so no queries will be responded to through that period.
