Job Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing basic nursing care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. This role includes monitoring patient health, administering routine procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort and well-being in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and have strong practical nursing skills. Requirements: Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program. Current LPN licensure in the state of employment; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply. Proficient in basic nursing procedures, including wound care, vital signs monitoring, and catheter insertion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of RNs and physicians. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, assist patients with mobility, and stand for extended periods. Responsibilities: Provide basic bedside care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients. Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist with patient mobility and physical activities, such as turning and repositioning bedridden patients. Collect samples for laboratory tests, such as blood or urine. Maintain patient records and document care activities accurately. Communicate any changes in patient conditions to the RN or physician in charge.
