Shorterm is currently looking to recruit an E&I Superintendent on behalf of their client who is a specialist electrical & instrumentation services contractor providing engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance services.
This role is a long-term contract role which will require some travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Construction Manager to execute and monitor all E&I works.
2. Ensure all aspects of the works are carried out in the safest manner at all times.
3. Manage the installation and testing of Electrical, Instrumentation, Communications, Telecoms, and F&G systems.
4. Supervise the Electrical (HT/LT/MV/LV) installation and testing works.
5. Supervise the Instrumentation certification and installation works.
6. Experience in troubleshooting of E&I system/program.
7. Ensure ITP compliance and document compilation.
8. Experience in managing and coordinating with other Building Services.
9. Ensure full compliance with Safety and Schedule requirements.
10. Ensure productivity of the labor force against the budget man-hours.
11. Management of Foremen, Chargehands, and crews.
12. Ensure materials and installation compliance to specifications.
13. Conduct constant in-situ field inspections to ensure quality of works delivered.
14. Review Method Statement of Works and preparation of FLRA's with crews.
15. Perform FAT and SAT inspections.
16. Perform system line checks, field instrument checks, and certification.
17. Perform calibration, functional checks, loop checks, and respective testing.
18. Perform system walk-down, line check, and punch-listing.
19. Troubleshoot and clear all punch items and closures.
20. Experience in Pre-com & COM as well as validation of respective systems.
21. Close coordination with other project team/trade members.
22. Review and interpret drawing/shop drawings.
23. Manage sub-contractors and monitor progress and reporting.
24. Handle walk-down, punch-listing, clearing, and closure.
25. Interface and coordinate with Client/QP representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
1. E&I Trade background.
2. Minimum 5-10 years' experience post qualification.
3. Knowledge of Good Engineering practices.
4. Well-versed in interpretation of Construction drawings to review and comment.
5. Min 5 years' experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, and Heavy Industrial Industries.
6. Familiar with Permit to work environment.
7. Familiar with FastTrack project environment.
8. Fit and ready for construction/Oil & Gas/site environment.
9. Be independent and proactive.
10. Be prepared to be full-time and at ease in field supervision.
11. Be prepared to work extended hours per site requirement.
12. Be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
