Role: Senior Workplace Investigations Consultant
Contract Length: 9 Months
Location: Aldermaston (3 days on site per week)

• Responsible for managing the investigation process end to end including high quality report writing and attending hearings. The role will cover all AWE sites and travel to all sites will be required.
• To deliver high quality HR services to the business, managing the delivery of team activities through working with peers and appropriate stakeholders; providing the relevant technical expertise; ensuring that services are meeting customers' needs; and creating a culture of continuous improvement and process optimisation.
Carry out Management investigations in consultation with appropriate stakeholders to ensure a thorough and fair investigative process is carried out.
Work with and develop investigators across the business to ensure sufficient investigator capacity to meet the needs of the business and ensure that management investigation is carried out in a timely manner.
Work directly but independently from the HR Function and in particular the ER Services team to ensure that appropriate investigations are carried out in compliance with legislation and company policy and procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting or supervising management investigations on behalf of the business.
Analyse information collected and reach timely unbiased conclusions and findings.
Effectively assess witness credibility.
Generate professional, well-drafted investigation records, plans and reports
Contribute to the follow up of actions arising from investigations.
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues.
Develop, implement, and maintain investigation toolkit and training package
Develop monitoring tool to identify and report on common themes and key risk indicators arising from investigations undertaken.
Drive up the quality and speed of case investigations in accordance with legislation and Company policies and procedures.
Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
Maintain workload and case trackers to enable the reporting of service performance and identification of improvements. Collate and analyse local team case data to identify issues and opportunities.
Ensure local work instructions are followed to maintain process compliance (with regard to legal, regulatory and internal requirements) and quality.
Deal with escalated issues within team remit, and escalate further where necessary.
Deliver and manage HR/Investigation related documentation (hard copy and electronic) so that it is appropriately handled and retained in compliance with data privacy regulations, including oversight of the archiving process; and ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate, using approved templates.
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers, ensuring process hand-offs are properly executed.
Maintain understanding of up to date employment regulations, applicable laws and Company policy.
