Our client has a friendly, family vibe – with long-standing team members, full time and part time vets and nurses and a dedicated receptionist team. They are now looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.
The practice has up to date IDEXX laboratory machines, X-ray facilities, including dental radiography, dental machine, and ultrasound. The usual equipment like fluid warmer, multiple drip pumps and ecg and blood pressure monitoring equipment. The clinic is based in a beautiful town, a stone’s throw away from the train station with access to London in less than an hour. There is a good balance in the town with a variety of High Street shops and lots of options for lunch time breaks. There are some beautiful walks in and around the area and a few pubs along the way.
There is a great team made up of 5 veterinary surgeons, 4 qualified veterinary nurses and 2 full time receptionists. Having the same shift patterns every week allows them all to really enjoy the great work life balance. They are now looking for another qualified veterinary nurse to join the wonderful team and bring the same enthusiasm for the job role that they have.
The ideal candidate will love to get involved with all aspects of the veterinary surgery, from dealing with patients to answering the telephone. You will have a dedicated main operating nurse day, with an additional second ops nurse duty on another day. The main nurse ops day involves placing catheters, taking blood, running the bloods, getting the theatre set up for surgery, organising the day ahead and then making sure everything is cleaned and sorted after surgery has finished.
Typically, the working average week is 38.5 hours Monday to Wednesday 8:45am - 5:15pm at branch and Thursday 10:30am- 6:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm at the main site in Godalming, plus Saturday mornings 1:4, 8am - 12pm. You will receive 1 hour’s unpaid lunch break, however they can discuss a shorter lunch break to leave earlier potentially. The rota stays the same week after week, which makes it so much nicer for planning life. No OOH. They are open to flexible hours and part time applicants. Salary is up to £35k pa DOE.
You will be confident, outgoing, and happy to work by yourself or as part of the team. An enthusiasm for nurse clinics to help expand the nurse clinics already running, would be ideal. Clinical supervisor qualification, not essential but would be beneficial (or a desire to obtain this role). Experience with insurance claims not essential but keen for this to be part of the role offered.
