You will Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team. You will be expected to support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times. We require a Mental Health Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant with the highly sought after competencies and skills for physical health assessment and monitoring. We have an increasing population of men with mental health needs and Learning Disabilities who require monitoring via annual health checks, (phlebotomy and blood collection) medication related reviews, metabolic syndromes, vital signs and wellbeing monitoring.
