Responsibilities
As a Project Surveyor at our office in Aberdeen, you are assigned to a variety of projects depending on requirements and availability. In this role, you will deliver survey support to the relevant work scope together with your co-workers in the project team.
You will hold an expert role in the project team and be overall responsible for the survey scope. Working closely with project subcontractors, you will evaluate survey proposals and specify survey equipment/personnel needed for the installation vessels. You will provide survey input to procedures, plans, analyses, calculations, and other documentation, and also be an active participant in developing technical solutions related to the survey aspect of marine construction work. Participation in QA and HSE activities internally in the department and in projects is also part of the role.
The line responsibility for the Project Surveyor lies with the survey discipline in the Engineering department. The discipline lead will assign work scopes, train, and support you as needed. On a day-to-day basis, the Project Surveyor will be functionally responsible towards the various relevant work scope leads or managers.
