Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker Advanced with a specialisation in helping children. As a Social Worker Advanced - Children’s (G10), you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interventions to provide comprehensive support to children in vulnerable situations.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualised care plans.
Provide direct counselling and therapeutic interventions to children and their families, addressing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.
Advocate for children's rights and ensure their safety and well-being by conducting home visits, participating in family meetings, and coordinating with community resources.
Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other community stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and continuity of care.
Facilitate support groups and therapeutic activities to promote social skills and emotional resilience among children.
Participate in case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings to review complex cases and develop innovative strategies to address challenging situations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies and professional standards.
Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of [insert state name].
Minimum of [insert number] years of experience working with children and families in a social services or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interventions.
