An exciting opportunity has arisen within the team for a motivated Nursing Associate to join our friendly, dynamic team. Our priority is to offer the best standards of holistic care for our patients recovering from injury and illness.
As a surgical hospital, we provide a service in the following surgical areas:
* Major head and neck reconstructive Surgery
* Maxillofacial/Orthognathic/Trauma
* Plastic surgery, including major reconstruction
* Hand Surgery
* Ophthalmics, including complex corneal reconstruction
* Burns for reconstructive surgery
Main duties of the job
* Carry out a full range of delegated duties, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s condition and care with support from the registered nurse.
* Work within the scope of practice of the nursing associate role to understand the level of complexity of patient care to be undertaken.
* Maintain the privacy and dignity of all patients whilst adhering to Trust and department policies, reporting any concerns to a registered nurse.
* Work without direct supervision once key learning outcomes of the induction or preceptorship programme have been completed.
* Prioritise nursing care and recognise deterioration in a patient’s condition and alert senior staff immediately.
* Maintain accurate, legible, and timely written and electronic records of care.
* Use effective communication, written and verbal, with all levels of staff including the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Associate
Experience
* Competent in basic wound and asepsis management
* Experience in a hospital or equivalent care setting
* Working within a multidisciplinary team
Skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
