CONTRACT: This is casual work as required
The Early Years Team is looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Casual Childcare Worker to provide cover as and when required.
You will be responsible for assisting the Childcare Supervisor in providing a high-quality childcare provision within this area.
The post holder must have a relevant qualification in Early Years/Childcare such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage or the willingness to participate in the Welsh Government CAMAU programme - Welsh Language Learning for the Childcare Early Years.
You must have experience of working with children and an understanding of what’s required to provide a high-quality learning environment for 0-5 year olds. Experience of Flying Start provision would be desirable.

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
1. A relevant qualification in Early Years/Childcare such as Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (Wales and Northern Ireland) CACHE Extended Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 National Certificate/Diploma Children’s Care, Learning and Development – CCLD (only if commenced prior to 2014).
2. A knowledge and understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Childcare Facilities.
3. Relevant experience, ideally 3 years, of working with children in Early Years.
4. Experience of participating in planning meetings, to actively participate in the observation planning and assessment cycle to provide a quality learning environment for 2-3 year olds.
Desirable
1. Experience of working with parents in a group.
