* Pay Level: 7
* Contract Type: Fixed Term until July 2027
* Working Hours: 37 Per Week
The closing date for applications is midnight on: Sunday 3rd November
What you’ll be doing:
Working in a small project team, you will be a key team member supporting project management of the Council’s £8m capital grant funded Project Sponge as part of the Defra £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programme (FCIP). Our project is one of 25 projects across England to receive capital grant funding from the Environment Agency to improve flood resilience in two river catchments in northwest Slough and South Buckinghamshire, working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council and external delivery partners, notably the National Flood Forum and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.
You will be leading the day-to-day project management, supervising and coordinating project progress, and acting as the main point of contact for project partners and both internal and external stakeholders. The post will require a person with a strong background in project management and experience of preparing progress reports, attending meetings, and producing written outcomes and actions, as well as financial experience including budget monitoring and business cases.
We have an ambitious project vision to improve resilience to flooding by placing people and nature at the heart of solutions in the Salt Hill and Chalvey Ditches river catchments. Join us to be at the centre of this large innovative project, applying and growing your skills and experience in project management, to help deliver our objectives. We particularly welcome applicants who have previous experience in project management of public sector grant funded environmental partnership schemes.
