Operations Academy - Statutory Reporting Analyst 1
We're looking for someone to join our Statutory Reporting team, who oversee the production of our fund's financial reports. As a member of the team, you will be focused on getting the detail right in a fast-paced environment and motivated to learn something new in an ever-changing landscape.
Your role will be integral in ensuring that reports are delivered within regulatory deadlines and accurately. You will be a good problem solver and someone who can communicate with a variety of stakeholders, to ensure the team outcomes are delivered.
The programme
You will join Schroders as a permanent employee and start your career in our Operations Academy, which currently runs for 18-24 months. During this time you will study for your CISI Level 3 - Investment Operations Certificate, learn on the job and have access to a wide range of soft skill training courses.
What you'll do
1. Review of financial statements and liaison with third party administrators.
2. Help to evaluate reporting disclosures and adherence to prevailing regulatory requirements.
3. Engagement with the fund auditing process and assist in the resolution of queries.
4. Spot problems and triage them, making sure controls are adhered to and exceptions are escalated quickly.
5. Work with key stakeholders to make sure we understand their requirements and meet their expectations.
6. Make the team more efficient by spotting weaknesses in our processes, suggesting and help to implement solutions.
7. Help design and implement updates or enhancements to processes and systems.
8. Maintain an up-to-date view of reporting requirements, including regulatory changes.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
1. Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel.
2. A level and/or degree level education.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that'll help
1. Any experience which demonstrates good communication, analytical skills, and working well within a team environment.
2. Proficient in basic software notably Excel;
3. Keenness to innovate and improve processes.
4. Experience of prioritising workload, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, problem solving and confidence in communicating.
5. Being organised and taking the initiative.
You must be at least 18 years old by the start date of the programme to apply for the advertised intake. You will need to study for your CISI Level 3 - Investment Operations Certificate outside of normal office hours.
