Express Recruitment are proud to advertise for a local charitable organisation who put their clients at the heart of what they do. We are proud to support our client to recruit their newest Hub Support Worker to act as an office-based emotional support person for survivors of abuse.
The successful candidate will be a passionate individual with a range of telephone and administration skills, combined with knowledge of supporting vulnerable survivors of abuse.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to have an Enhanced DBS Check available on the update service or be willing for us to process one on your behalf.
Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient and effective administrative support to the team
* Actively listen and directly support survivors of abuse
* Arrange referrals and appointments
* Perform quality control checks
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working directly with service users in a voluntary or paid capacity
* Charity experience highly advantageous
* Experience working with survivors of sexual violence or domestic abuse desirable
* Empathetic and patient attitude essential
* Great organisational skills, to manage a varied workload
* Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office
Vacancy Summary
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Salary: c£12.00 per hour DOE
Location: Nottingham City Centre, hybrid working options are available
