Design Engineer We are working with a prestigious client who specialise in the supply of a range of metals on the roll, cut to size or in strips. We are recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer to join their team in Warrington. Key Skills required of the Design Engineer: Must have over 4 years hands on working experience as a Design Engineer Experience of BIM is required Must have expert level of CAD and proficient user of: SolidWorks (weldments, sheet metal, drawings) and AutoCAD (blocks, dynamic blocks, xrefs) An understanding of the UK construction industry and typical RIBA design stages Experience of managing the flow of design information and coordination of all drawings Experience of advising on material thicknesses, cost optimisation, and simplifying designs at an early design stage to improve costing Ability to check drawings and provide feedback for best practices in line with our design and Quality standards We require a proven leader with design project management and delivery skills Knowledge & understanding of CDM Regulations and the role of the Designer under these Regulations Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without compromising safety, quality, or cost budgets etc. Qualifications: Must haveHNC / HND / Degree inArchitecture, Construction or Engineering related discipline The successful Design Engineer will manage all design aspects of Architectural and Heatshielding business sectors. This will include project design budget development during the costing phase and then managing/ carrying out design works and document management including GA and detailed production drawings etc. In return my client are offering an excellent salary, free on site parking, pension and other benefit package.
