The post holder will have an active role in delivering infection control advice, antimicrobial stewardship and conducting case investigations on all sites. They will be expected to make an active contribution to the production of relevant policies within the terms of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance). Infection Control is everyones responsibility. All staff, both clinical and non-clinical, are required to adhere to the Trusts Infection Prevention and Control Policies and make every effort to maintain high standards of infection control at all times thereby reducing the burden of Healthcare Associated Infections.
