The role holder is part of the team responsible for the delivery and management of some of our most critical systems which underpin BT’s networks. Their everyday workload will ensure the ability of the company to provide services to our end customers, whilst managing any technology or security risks which may arise.
What you’ll be doing
* Designs and develops components of smaller and/or less complex projects in partnership with team, ensuring and documenting the quality of delivery.
* Supports the design and development of discreet solutions in line with wider architecture and security standards, demonstrating basic understanding of how solution impacts the wider Technology roadmap.
* Contributes technical and analytical knowledge where needed to support managers, principals or technical experts to resolve issues during projects.
* Identifies and solves routine problems with components designed, performs deep dive data analysis, potentially introducing new components or features to resolve issues.
* Conducts technical peer reviews within the organisation or with suppliers to ensure outputs align to quality standards and customer requirements.
* I am responsible for those PCI tasks allocated to me as documented in the PCI Assurance Tool (PAT) for the application(s) I am engaged with.
The skills you'll need
* Understanding of DNS and DHCP protocols
* Familiarity with DNS and DHCP platforms, such as Windows (Both AD and non AD) and ISC BIND/DHCP
* Knowledge of TACACS protocol
* Knowledge of RADIUS protocol
* Knowledge of TACACS dictionary’s and how they relate to vendor devices
* Experience supporting remote dedicated authentication services
* Experience supporting large scale deployments of multi-tenant hosted authentication services
* Experience of 802.1x Authentication (both wired and wireless)
* Experience of developing code for automation, reporting, auditing and administration.
* Understanding of IP address management and the processes used with BT
* Experience with SPLUNK reporting tools
* SQL Server support and SQL queries
* Supporting enhanced radius encryption technologies (EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS)
* Networking Protocols (IP/DHCP/DNS)
