The Position The D&B Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager has demonstrated the basic core skills and personal values to be a success at BW. They will provide much needed support to the team whilst developing their own skills and experience as part of their career progression. Job Scope Significant management experience in construction industry working on commercial fit out projects up to £6m Previous experience of successfully carrying out a similar role with a Fit-out contractor to a high quality Maintain a professional and productive working relationship with sub-contractor management and operatives and notify Line Manager regarding any issues Develop, monitor and control the strategic and detailed construction programming for the project Attend all project meetings and action items identified within the minutes as necessary Contribute to the production of Progress Reports Manage the RFI, CVI, Information Required, and technical submittal processes and procedures for the project Continually review and manage sub-contractor resources at a suitable level to meet the demands of the project Carry out daily snagging inspection walk rounds, snagging sheets issued weekly by each sub-contractor at weekly coordination meeting. Hold regular sub-contractor coordination meetings on a weekly basis, issuing minutes of the meeting to all sub-contractors and BW team members. Check that the actions of previous meetings are effectively closed out. Assist the Commercial / Senior Commercial Manager in controlling the commercial risk of projects Work with the team to deliver Defect Free in its entirety on all projects Carry out a regular review of agreed prelims expenditure Issue corrective action notices as necessary to maintain subcontractor performance and on site standards and notify the Commercial Manager of any potential contra-charges. Take responsibility for site level health, safety and environmental management in accordance with the approved processes and procedures. Build long term client and professional team relationships based on the successful delivery of projects.
