Type of Contract: Permanent Referral Category: Category A Job Description: Assistant General Manager Are you a dynamic, commercially focused operations manager looking to deliver in a unique public venue? As Assistant General Manager, you will lead the operational delivery and visitor experience across the Arc. You will inspire the visitor experience team to deliver impeccable customer service, maximising the visitor experience and taking advantage of the exciting commercial opportunities, to meet ambitious income targets and KPIs across front of house, events, and retail. You will also hold responsibility for the venue’s health and safety and facilities management onsite, ensuring a safe, compliant operation alongside fantastic visitor experiences. A bit about you You’ll have experience of operational management in a public-facing venue and be skilled at balancing competing priorities. You’ll be an enthusiastic, commercial manager who puts customer service at the heart of everything you do relishing the opportunity to lead operations at Hampshire Cultural Trust’s largest public venue, The Arc. Your strong financial and commercial acumen will allow you to inspire your team to achieve customer focused and financial target allowing you to develop and maintain a diverse high performing team. This will be coupled with your experience in managing health and safety in a public venue to ensure a safe and comfortable for visitors. An interest in arts and culture is a big plus, alongside existing experience of working with local authorities as partners.
