Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Team Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and support across our services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, team leadership, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide financial reports and analysis to support effective service delivery and planning.
2. Monitor core budgets and grant funding, offering trend commentary and projections.
3. Assist in procurement and tendering processes for goods and services.
4. Develop and maintain management information systems to track key service activities.
5. Lead the analysis of performance data and management information.
6. Ensure compliance with County policies and legal requirements in all service activities.
7. Serve as the main point of contact for the Direct Payment System and manage staff roles.
8. Collaborate with the Service Accountancy Team on budget spend and compliance.
9. Supervise and develop the Finance Team, ensuring equitable work allocation and morale.
10. Implement agreed policies and procedures across the service sector.
11. Manage health and safety within the service area.
12. Act as a representative of the Council in inter-agency meetings and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:
14. Relevant degree or equivalent experience in finance or business management.
15. Proven experience in financial management and team leadership.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
18. Knowledge of procurement processes and financial compliance regulations.
