- THE ROLE -
The University wishes to appoint an outstanding candidate to the position of Head of Research Management. As a key member of the Research and Impact Directorate, the post holder will lead the management of Ulster’s research programmes, and together with colleagues in the Research Income and Grant Opportunities team, will build and maintain excellent professional relationships with the research community and maximise the value of Ulster’s research.
The post holder will have significant responsibility for managing the research funding budget and the grant management system, and for providing insight into the research portfolio and the external research environment that supports research investment decisions and the development and delivery of Ulster’s Research and Impact Strategy.
- ABOUT YOU -
The post holder must have:
- A degree.
- Well-developed understanding of the priorities, operation and strategy of relevant funding bodies as evidenced by a track record of managing successful high value research grant applications.
- Experience of working in an advisory capacity for collaborative research project funding applications.
