Job summary The eRoster Team are looking to appoint a passionate and motivated individual that will work closely with divisions to ensure their safe and effective use of eRostering systems. The role will give you the opportunity to work across multi-disciplinary teams and allow you to grow specialist knowledge of eRostering and the organisation. We will work with you to develop your knowledge and understanding of staffing issues and the intricacies of roster implementation and support you to be able to help managers to review rosters to ensure they are safe and effective. The successful candidate will join a small, supportive and successful eRoster team, who have a flexible approach to work in the demanding and fast paced world of eRoster and have won many accolades and praise on their eRoster knowledge. The eRoster team play a vital role within the organisation, allowing the organisation to use eRoster meaningfully. The role of an eRoster advisor is to empower eRoster managers to create effective rosters and use the system to make informed decisions, on real time staffing, unavailability, redeployments, and temporary staffing decisions. The eRoster advisor will shape the use of eRoster within the organisation through continual work with the divisions and support in the further expansion and roll out of eRostering systems within the trust. They also form a pivotal role within the eRoster team itself, having an input into how, when and what work can be delivered/achieved as a team. Main duties of the job Provide eRoster support, guidance and knowledge to enable effective use of eRoster systems. Attend eRoster meetings offering solutions, guidance, feedback and support in line with the Trust eRoster policy on eRostering key performance indicators around roster safety and effectiveness. Plan and lead eRoster training sessions to small and large groups face to face and also over virtual platforms. Implement new areas onto eRoster, understanding the needs of the service to be implemented to ensure best outcomes when building and designing rosters in collaboration with the departmental managers. Assist in the planning and reviewing of the eRoster teams work schedule and collaborating in weekly work schedule reviews and offering suggestions for improvements. Create reports and analyse data to support with system/process improvements, training and system administration. Run monthly payroll extracts to ensure timely records are held within ESR. Support with the planning and creation of training materials for use by the trust Work closely with external suppliers and escalate problems as required Work across multidisciplinary teams within HR and wider within the NHS organisation Assist the eRoster team in maintaining the system administration which includes, but not limited to, ensuring all new employees, contractual changes and leavers are administered in the eRoster system, whilst providing support to the eRoster teams central email inbox and phoneline/voicemails.
