We are currently recruiting for a Category Development Manager This is a great opportunity to play an important role at an exciting time in our journey. The role is highly commercial, offers great progression opportunities and exposure to senior stakeholders within the organisation In this role you will have principle Accountabilities, such as : Customer category management: strategic operational Building customer category networks across key grocery accounts (e.g. Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose) Use data/insights to build credible relationships with your trade partners to drive overall category growth and growth for TBG Use data/insights to guide the business on category opps & risks Deliver the execution of the category strategy and Grocery picture of success in owned accounts Own and deliver key KPIs: distribution, share of shelf, Fixture of the Future Commercial representation in NPD projects (delivering category assumptions/volume assumptions for the impulse channel) Play a pivotal role in a highly dynamic and engaging team This list covers the main duties you will undertake but other duties will be required and added to as required to meet project and business needs. Flexibility to support the business is essential to the role. The successful candidate will have : Experience in FMCG category management (preference for Grocery Multiples experience) Highly literate in category/market data analytics platforms (Nielsen/Circana, Kantar, customer data platforms as a minimum) Experienced in turning data/insight into action to drive change Strong examples of customer management and relationship building Experience in story-building, presenting with impact and agility Proven ability to work cross-functionally and be the voice of the customer Entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive to win Ability to build internal and external credibility – can navigate a faced paced, matrix organisation This role is based in Farringdon and it will be required to come to the office 2 days a week. You will be the primary category relationship holder for 2-3 of the multiple grocers. You will be responsible for embedding & executing the category strategy to win.
