Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Laboratory Setting Job Description Position Objective: Responsible for carrying out raw materials testing within an ISO accredited laboratory environment. Essential functions include analytical chemistry analysis, supporting preparation of microbiological and tissue culture samples. Successful performance of job duties contributes to meeting testing schedules, customer satisfaction, departmental safety and quality objectives. Essential Functions: Perform raw material release testing according to standard operating procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Key tasks for this role include: - Raw Material Sampling - Water sampling and testing (TOC & conductivity) - Identification by FTIR - Basic wet chemistry techniques - Loss on drying - Preparation of raw material bioburden - Environmental monitoring of raw material areas - Calibration and maintenance of equipment - May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. Contribute to the preparation of written reports as and when required. Maintain thorough and complete product test records per in house testing procedures and in accordance with ISO 13485 standards. Participate in personal development opportunities to further enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position. Education: Requires a minimum of a HND in a science related discipline. Experience: Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment and to effectively interact with all levels of the company. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members are essential. Contacts: Will liaise extensively with all other department within the operational department. Customer and external lab communication is also expected within this role Working Conditions: Work in conducted in an analytical lab environment. Is required perform raw material sampling, this will involve the movement of boxes and pallets. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials, work overtime and flexible shifts.
