The successful candidate will be part of an established service where therapy outcomes are quickly seen This post is suited to an individual who enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced setting, thinks creatively, & has a well-established professional identity Occupational therapy is an essential part of the treatment options within the Crisis Service, which support individuals in the community, who are going through an acute phase of mental ill health The post holder will be supported by the Band 7 OT in the Crisis Services and be a fully integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team. This role involves individual Occupational Therapy treatment & there is scope for group work too Therapy settings include the Crisis Teams base, the local crisis therapy unit, service users' homes and their local community. To provide feedback to the team regarding observed occupational performance during a session which will contribute to assessment and therapeutic interventions To exercise good personal time management, punctuality & consistent reliable attendance To coordinate the development meetings for OT support staff To work effectively as a member of a team in providing therapeutic activities using a person centered approach. To provide OT advice, intervention & support to service users & their carers under minimal guidance of the OT To provide feedback to the MDT regarding the service users wellbeing and occupational performance To use technical / creative skills to engage service users in meaningful & appropriate activities to promote independence, recovery & well-being.
