My client is a leader in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and engineering, seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Manager to join their London office. Known for their expertise in delivering high-quality and efficient engineering solutions, this contractor partners with industry leaders to deliver impactful projects across the commercial and residential sectors.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver mechanical design solutions across a variety of high-profile projects. Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical systems for large-scale commercial and residential projects.
2. Managing a team of mechanical engineers, providing mentorship, support, and ensuring quality in all designs.
3. Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective, innovative design solutions.
4. Reviewing and approving technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
6. Managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
7. Conducting site visits to review progress and resolve any design-related issues during construction.
Skills and Experience:
1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Significant experience in mechanical design, particularly within commercial and residential sectors.
3. Strong leadership and project management skills.
4. Proficiency in relevant design software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
5. Comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
