Job Description: Recognized as an expert in High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the searched Supercomputing pre-sales solution architect will be supporting the sales team and business development on large, complex and strategic HPC and AI projects in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Latin America (EMEA & LATAM). Works closely with HPC and AI sales, business development, product management, R&D, performance team, local support and local pre-sales teams to architect and describe HPC and AI solutions for proposals to customers and provides the key technical interface to customers and prospects about HPE HPC and AI supercomputing products and solutions. This Supercomputing presales solution architect will be working on projects for customers located anywhere in EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) & LATAM (Latin America) with a particular focus on the Brittish market. Although the work will mostly be done remotely, this job will potentially require short travels to visit customers and prospects in EMEA & LATAM. Primary duties and responsibilities: Provides technical analysis of HPC and AI customers, prospects and market demands; Designs HPC and AI solutions based on HPE hardware and software products to best meet customer or prospects demands; Closely works with HPC and AI sales, product development and manufacturing to technically and financially optimize the solutions; Provides technical support in HPC and AI sales presentations, proposals and product demonstrations to ensure customers understand the benefits and the requirements of the solutions; Adapts to flexible roles as needed by HPE and become proficient at additional technical skills as needed; Interacts with HPC and AI R&D and Product Management team to help adapting HPE current and future products to market needs. Minimum education and/or experience: BSEE or similar technical degree, masters degree or Ph.D. preferred Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience on managing big and complex HPC projects Knowledge, skills and abilities: Recognized expertise in HPC and AI architecture; Strong understanding of HPC and AI hardware hardware and software ecosystems; Experience in sales and pre-sales situations in the domain of HPC and AI; Ability to understand and influence customer demands, to analyze and to present how HPE systems can address the needs; Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively internally across the function and across organizational boundaries; Ability to communicate effectively externally in a multi-cultural environment, with business partners and suppliers in order to meet customer needs; Ability to influence product direction to handle specific market demands; Fluent use (written & spoken) of English is required.
