Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our established team working with our prestigious clients based in Macclesfield.
Joining our team at their large pharmaceutical & biotechnology site, you will play a pivotal role in driving engineering optimisation and innovation within our organisation. This position entails working collaboratively with operational leads on site, assisting in the delivery of long-term technical development plans, and streamlining technical delivery processes.
The Project Engineer will support the planning function to streamline workflows and consistently innovate, create and manage a dynamic resource allocation model, considering real-time demand, skillset & resource availability and review maintenance strategies in collaboration with the operational leads to assist with the maintenance program on site.
You will implement best practices to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of technical projects, analyse existing technical delivery processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and improvement whilst leading initiatives to optimise engineering processes and planning of technical activities to drive innovation within the organisation.
Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to enhance engineering capabilities, you will collaborate with senior management to contribute to the development and execution of long-term technical plans whilst providing technical expertise and insights to support the implementation of strategic initiatives.
About You
Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
* Background in the pharmaceutical or GMP industry is highly desirable
* Proven experience in engineering with a focus on optimisation and innovation
* Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams
* Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical requirements with business objectives
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and execution of long-term technical plans
* Innovative mindset with a passion for driving positive change
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
Qualifications required:
* MIET, Master of Science or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or equivalent technical experience highly preferable
