THE POSITION We are looking for an ambitious Digital Communications Manager to join our Communications Team. The right person will have a strong track record in digital communications, and be capable of developing, implementing, tracking and optimising our digital campaigns across all channels (owned, earned and paid). They will be responsible for creating and executing Boehringer Ingelheim UK's social media strategy and managing digital assets such as the website and twitter feed. The successful candidate will have a passion for all things digital and social media, and have experience in a diverse mix of digital and communications activities - including social media, websites, digital communications, design and measurement. They will have experience in a commercial environment, and experience working in a highly-regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals would be desirable. Most importantly, the candidate will be passionate about delivering against Boehringer Ingelheim UK's overall communications objectives. They will be at the heart of delivering top-class digital across the business and help us to achieve our challenging objectives. This is a head office based position requiring two days per week in Bracknell. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Ability to work independently and with agency partners to lead on Boehringer Ingelheim UK's corporate digital activities - Experience of developing and implementing high-performing digital strategies - Ability to think strategically, as well as someone who is willing to roll-up their sleeves and deliver best practice digital activity within a regulated environment - Ability to lead and report back to the business on our digital successes and learnings - A proven track record of working on projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and gathering input from across the business - Experience in managing, and running campaigns, across all digital and social channels and a strong understanding of best practice - Experience of website management and measurement - and the ability to work with third party developers - Experience of working with internal digital intranets - Ability to align with global requirements and where appropriate implement global campaigns in line with local compliance requirements - A strong understanding of how digital has a place in the wider communications landscape and objectives across the business - Good understanding of the ever-changing social media landscape and ways of community engagement - Understanding of the basics of SEO - Track record of measuring and reporting on performance of all digital activities and assessing against our business goals (ROI and KPIs) - Experience in planning and optimising paid social media advertising - A "can do" attitude, with the willingness to innovate and work collegiately with other members of the communications team and the wider business - Detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant compliance codes for UK & Ireland WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
