What the Job Involves This role is based full-time in Newham's offices, where you'll join our bustling Business Support Service contributing to the continuous improvement of our services. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch administrative expertise to various critical Council services ranging from Housing and Environment to Children’s and Adults’ services. As part of this energetic team, you'll have the opportunity to tackle varied responsibilities that make each day exciting and rewarding. Your tasks will include providing professional business support, ensuring a consistently high quality of service aligned with the Council's vision. You'll work towards a customer-focused, result-orientated approach, promoting self-serve methods at every opportunity. Key responsibilities include document, data, and record management, financial administration, and minute-taking for statutory panels. You'll maintain systems to maximize business support efficiency and continually strive for service improvement. Collaborating with Hub Supervisors to address inquiries, you'll ensure a best value service that meets organizational needs and policy standards. Working some evenings, weekends, and public holidays may be required to meet service needs and represent the Council effectively.
