The Role: With their in-house legal team growing, they’ve got a brand new role to join them as a Legal Assistant working alongside the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in a small but highly influential team to help drive compliance and governance across our regulated and non-regulated businesses. What You'll Do: Assist with Board and Committee services, ensuring smooth operations. Ensure statutory compliance by timely submission of filings. Process and file data protection renewals and other licenses for Group companies. Manage file systems, both electronic and paper, maintaining documents accurately. Handle file opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance. Maintain various group databases including contracts, intellectual property, and property. Manage corporate inboxes efficiently. Oversee engagement and invoicing process for external legal and professional advisors. Maintain precedents, policies, and procedures. Prepare reports and presentations as needed. Monitor compliance against the Legal Services Compliance Handbook. Conduct research and assist with ad hoc projects. What You'll Need: Experience in private practice or in-house legal environment preferred. Law degree required, ideally completed the LPC. Excellent communication and time management skills. Strong IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and DocuSign. Proactive at developing internal business relationships. Confident team player who understands the confidential nature of the team's work. Motivated, enthusiastic individual with a "can do" attitude. Demonstrates attention to detail.
