The successful applicant will join our team of Children's Nurses and Health Care Assistants who provide hands on care and support to children with short term illnesses, long term disabilities, chronic health conditions and end of life care. We deliver in a variety of settings such as homes, educational settings and clinic settings. We are based in Capital House, Faversham and the team work across 4 localities (Canterbury, Ashford, Thanet and Folkestone/Dover). The Successful applicant will be required to work across all of these to support the team. You will be supported in the role with a robust training package and clinical supervision sessions to support professional development The East Kent Community Children’s Nursing Team is based in Capital House, Faversham and also includes a small Children’s Asthma Team, Oncology Service and Epilepsy Nurse Specialists. As a Community Children’s Nurse you would be providing care under the direction of the Team Leader and Community Nurse Specialists to children in a variety of settings including their homes, educational establishments and clinics throughout East Kent. The Community Children’s Nurses provide a core service 09.00-17.00 7 days a week including bank holidays plus early and late shifts assigned via a monthly roster. They also provide an on-call out of working hours to provide 24 hour visiting service for End of Life care to children\young people in their care.
