IT Technician
Location: Gloucester
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 08.30-17.00, Fri 08.30-16.30, with a 1-hour lunch break)
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities of a Junior IT Technician
* Act as the first point of contact for technical issues after training, managing troubleshooting efforts, and ensuring swift resolutions.
* Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes by facilitating IT setups for new starters and managing offboarding procedures.
* Support employees with technology issues, hardware and software upgrades, and office equipment replacements.
* Maintain IT documentation, including tracking tasks through a ticketing system, developing internal user guides, and updating troubleshooting documents.
* Collaborate on additional projects and tasks as directed by the IT Manager.
* Contribute to the smooth daily operations of the IT department.
Key Skills of a Junior IT Technician
* Solid IT skills and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
