We are seeking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic part time Band 2 Care Assistant in the Children’s Ambulatory Care and Outpatient Unit. We are a very friendly team who are passionate about providing excellent care for Children and Young people and their families.
Our Children’s Ambulatory Care and Outpatient Unit caters for all disciplines within the Child Health Department and offers opportunities to work alongside teams offering a truly multidisciplinary approach to health care including nurse led clinics supporting Specialist Nurses. Services are provided cross site within the CCG.
We offer a full range of education opportunities internal and external to maintain your continued professional development (CPD), including learning new skills in Venipuncture and Cannulation and completing the Care Certificate. We want someone who is driven and can offer the best possible experience children and young people can have in the hospital setting.

• To ensure that all patients and other members of the public and staff are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required.

• To be cost effective in the use of equipment and resources, to ensure equipment is in good working order, stored correctly and ready for immediate use
• Maintain accurate, up to date records of all contact with patients and their carers
• To Act in a professional manner at all times, complying with trust policies in relation to Infection Control, Confidentiality, Incident Reporting, Health & Safety and Uniform Policy
• Respectful of patients Privacy and Dignity at all times
