In the role of Engineering Lead, you will support Manufacturing engineering activities involved in Aero engine parts production from customer location (Derby UK). The role will also be that of an Onsite Coordinator who will have to manage the communications between the onsite and offshore teams, resolve input issues for offshore team and coordinate governance calls with the customer.
Your work will involve CAPP & TeamCentre tasks, Technical Authoring (stage models / Characteristics Matrix etc.), ME concession management support, Zero Defect journey. You will support the NPI / Digital team with creating standard methods in CAPP and stage models in NX, modification and improvement of standard technical instructions and associated documents across multiple engine projects. Assist with compiling First Article Inspection documentation to include ballooned drawings and FAI characteristic sheets.
Required Qualifications:
1. Experience in Gas Turbine Domain – Preferably Aerospace
2. Well versed in AS standards
3. Well versed in UG NX, TeamCentre and MS Office
4. General ME Skills on Build in Quality, PPAP and FAIR’s
5. Inspection Planning
6. Sound knowledge of GD&T
7. Drawing Interpretation
8. At least 8-10 years aero engine work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in CAPP, NX and TeamCentre tasks
2. Technical Authoring, and General ME Skills
