About the role…
Working with the Financial Controller and contract Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for the financial management of one of our largest contracts.
In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will establish and embed best practice processes across the business area, championing and driving a continuous improvement culture. This is a hybrid role based 3 days per week in our Derby office, with the remainder spent working from home if preferred.
What will your day look like…
* Designing and implementing appropriate controls to ensure the accurate processing of commercial data.
* Reviewing and streamlining processes to the benefit of both Avove and Client timescales.
* Demonstrating accountability for ensuring that contractual mechanisms and terms are being complied with.
* Working closely with the commercial and operational leads on the contract.
* Owning the revenue to cash conversion via Client applications.
* Delivering project by project reporting.
About you…
This role is perfect for someone who has worked in accounting or commercial roles at various levels in a fast-paced environment. You will have an impressive track record of delivering process improvement. We are open to the type of sector you may have worked in; however, if you have worked in construction or civil engineering, that would be a bonus!
The role requires strong IT skills, including excellent Excel skills. You will use your commercial acumen to deliver successful outcomes. You will communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and your fantastic leadership skills will reflect in your ability to develop teams and individuals, both direct and indirect reports.
