Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Support Worker to join Wrexham Council's Prevention and Support Service on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Work in partnership with children, young people, parents, and foster carers to provide targeted support.
✔ Assist with court-ordered supervised contacts between children and parents.
✔ Provide one-to-one support to meet the needs identified in Care and Support Plans or Child Protection Plans.
✔ Support the safe transportation of children in foster care during placement transitions.
✔ Collaborate with social workers and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience working with children, young people, and families in a social care setting.
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
✔ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
✔ Ability to work within structured frameworks and follow referral processes.
✔ A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting service users.
