Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Adult Review & Support Team based in Hull.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £41,511 per annum.
Main duties:
1. Undertake proportionate assessments, determine eligibility, and assess risk. Plan care and support and make the best use of available resources to enable people to live the life they choose. Ensure people are given correct financial advice and information about charging processes of the council.
2. Work in partnership with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, utilizing their expertise in the assessment and review process. Assess, identify, and source low-level OT equipment to support individuals in living independently or as part of a wider package of care. Undertake the role of an Equipment Trusted Assessor.
3. Engage in critical reflection and constructive challenge while working with colleagues, other agencies, and vulnerable adults and families.
4. Actively engage in team meetings/practice forums and other relevant meetings ensuring focused and purposeful social work is undertaken with all cases.
5. Work with colleagues in the team to ensure that case recording is up to date and that required information is available for various purposes (e.g., multi-agency meetings, strategy meetings, panels, court, case conferences).
6. Engage in the professional decision-making process with colleagues in relation to complex/high-risk cases.
7. Actively engage in the professional development framework for Hull Adult Social Care (including attendance at practice development groups) and continuous learning as per the relevant level of the Professional Capabilities Framework for the role.
8. Prepare for and attend court as required in relation to specific cases where the engagement of legal processes is necessary.
9. Provide co-working support and advice to other staff members within the team.
10. Provide day-to-day supervision and development of staff.
11. Occasionally deputize for the Practice Lead Manager and support the leadership team in the development of the team.
Requirements of this Senior Social Worker Job:
1. Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
2. Registered as Social Worker.
3. Understanding of the SW legislation.
