Job description: Join our team to gain valuable experience in managing packaging development across various areas of our business, including retail, e-commerce and hotels. You will work within our Kaihatsu stage-gate process, collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful launch of new products. As part of the R&D team, you'll have the opportunity to oversee packaging projects while working closely with cross-functional partners within Molton Brown. This role is ideal for someone looking to build and enhance their existing skills, with ongoing support to develop your expertise in packaging and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing and coordinating new packaging projects, ensuring they align with the Molton Brown Kaihatsu process. Work with suppliers and internal teams to deliver quality products on time and within budget, gaining hands-on experience in the process. Risk analyse, develop and execute clear test plans for new items, addressing any issues to ensure products meet Molton Brown/Kao standards and customer expectations. Collaborate with the brand and creative teams to understand and implement design and print aesthetics. Ensure that all print trials are effectively managed, resulting in clear print specifications, and that artworks are completed according to project timelines. Stay informed about ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) options for materials, and contribute to sustainable practices by supporting initiatives like reducing, reusing, and recycling. Look for and promote ESG and innovative ideas for new components and products whenever possible. Ensure your tasks are well-defined and your goals are met. Help oversee travel and project budgets. Assist departments with procedural guidelines, making sure key processes are clearly understood. Manage and process all essential paperwork and reimbursements using internal systems. Support the Packaging/R&D department in various initiatives, including attending events and assisting the management team. You'll also have the chance to contribute to process improvements and enhance collaboration across teams, further building your skill set. Required profile: What You Will Need: A strong willingness to learn and develop your time and project management skills, with the ability to work methodically and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills across various disciplines and staff levels. Keen attention to detail and a tenacious attitude, with a drive to find solutions. A collaborative team member with excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to learn. Working with a diverse group to achieve results. Flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset to help ensure the timely delivery of new product developments. A strong interest in technical packaging, with an understanding of various technologies and supplier sources e.g Asia. Physical Demands: While performing this role, you may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, use your hands for various tasks, and engage in light physical activity such as lifting up to 20 pounds.
