SEN Teaching Assistant – Manchester Location: Manchester Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (potential for long-term placement) A Manchester-based secondary school is looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. Role Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN. Assist teachers in adapting lesson materials to meet individual learning needs. Help create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement support strategies. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students engage in their learning. Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children or young people with SEN (schools, care, or support roles). A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to working with students. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree) is beneficial but not essential. An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
