Our client, a leading M&E contractor headquartered in Staffordshire, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with strong HVAC knowledge to manage high-value, multi-million-pound projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional based in the Liverpool area who brings a proven track record in commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Manage all aspects of project lifecycle, from initial design to handover, with a focus on HVAC systems.
3. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and project alignment.
4. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
5. Oversee procurement processes, including materials and equipment, to maintain project schedules and quality.
6. Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
7. Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting high standards of work and professionalism.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally managing projects worth £1 million+ in commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.
2. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and related mechanical services.
3. Strong project management skills, with a keen ability to manage time, budget, and scope effectively.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
5. Relevant industry qualifications and certifications, such as SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS (Gold or Black card preferred), and an HND/HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Qualifications & Certifications:
1. SMSTS or SSSTS (Site Management or Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
2. CSCS Card (Gold or Black Card preferred)
3. HND/HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
4. HVAC qualifications (desirable but not essential if experience is strong)
