As a part of a larger international corporation, our company is involved in design and manufacturing of night vision and infrared imaging equipment. We are looking for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join our busy Production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will work closely with other members of the multi-functional Production team and undertake work on various projects with the common goal of delivering high quality final products. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Duties of this role include, but are not limited to: Assembly of a range of electronic and optical modules and products by following detailed operating instructions and technical drawings Ensuring all product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested Ensure that all operations are completed to the required specifications, quality standards and to the required timescale Repair of units which show faults during building process Performing and completing servicing for products returned by customers that may need repair/modifying/re-calibrating Perform to a consistently high level of accuracy Ensure the work area is clean, tidy and orderly at all times Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Excellent dexterity and ability to work on precision assemblies Good hand and eye co-ordination is required during all assembly, testing and inspection work Excellent problem-solving skills Strong teamwork skills Computer literate Any qualification in electronics would be advantageous Previous experience in some form of similar work would be desirable This position may be attractive to an individual with a technical mind and attention to detail. While previous experience in this area would be advantageous, applications are also invited from candidates without previous experience in optoelectronics, but who welcome a technical challenge. Full training will be provided for this role, candidates who are successful during the first round of interviews will be invited to an assessment day to go through an instruction-based manufacturing test.
