Job title: Business Analyst Location: Kites Croft Business Park, Fareham (occasional travel to London head office) Contract length: 6 months Pay rate: £500 per day (inside IR35, inclusive of holiday pay) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements for a new Point of Sales (POS) solution. This role requires a deep understanding of retail operations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities: Requirement Elicitation: Engage with stakeholders, including retail staff, management, and IT teams, to gather detailed requirements for the new POS system. Documentation: Create comprehensive requirement documents, including use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams. Analysis: Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the POS solution meets business needs. Stakeholder Management: Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure all stakeholder requirements are captured and understood. Solution Design: Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and validate the POS solution, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Testing and Validation: Assist in the development of test plans and participate in system testing to ensure the solution meets the specified requirements. Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide training sessions to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of the new POS system. Experience and skill set required: Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a retail environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations. Experience with Agile methodologies and using JIRA software. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with SAP and associated business processes is highly desirable.
