Manufacturing Technician.

Up to £40,518 + shift premium (OTE up to £44,569).
Having been established for over a century, my client is a particularly secure company and market-leader in the manufacture of bearing technologies for a variety of industries. Whilst this organisation maintains a family feel, they also have the backing of a global group of companies. They believe the excellent reputation they have continued to maintain in the marketplace has been built on providing their clients with ‘first class’ products and the investment they make in their highly skilled workforce – who are always recognised and rewarded.
Due to further, strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for a Manufacturing Technician to join them at their facility in Lincolnshire. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you the secure career prospects you are seeking?
Working alongside the Engineering Manager, the key responsibilities for your new role, are as follows:
* Monitoring and improving stages of the manufacturing process that are under your control.
* Understanding processes in great detail, to be able to identify when the process is deviating from the norm and taking action to correct it.
* Maintaining accurate and clear documentation that proves that processes are being carried out in accordance with both internal and external regulations.
* Gathering data from processes and reporting findings to senior staff members.
* Problem solving (RCCA and 5 Why’s).

* Deploying process improvements – scrap, rework, downtime and productivity.

In an ideal world, my client would like to find someone who possesses an NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (or equivalent) and who has already worked within a fast-moving manufacturing environment, in the field of continuous improvement, using problem-solving strategies such as 5 Why’s and Route Cause. Regardless of previous expertise, you will be diligent, target orientated and have a keen eye for detail.
In return, my client is offering an excellent salary of £40,518, plus a 20% shift premium when working a late shift. Overtime is also readily available for those who want it.
