About the role
A fantastic opportunity for Café colleagues has arisen (6-month secondment) to work within the Buying & Supply Chain team as a Buying Admin Assistant.
Reporting into the Buying & Supply Chain Manager this central team role will include a range of buying and supply chain duties including stock management, product costing and availability, data and report analysis and responsibility for Café stock allocations.
The successful applicant should be organised and a great communicator, with a good understanding of the Fourth system. Experience using Excel is essential as this role will include data analysis and reporting.

You will be responsible for
* Maintenance and updating of our Fourth ingredient catalogue (pricing/ product changes).
* Tracking stock levels with suppliers, ensuring product is always available for our Cafés.
* Running cost and availability checks for our expanding Coffee Shop proposition and supporting with deliveries and requests for our site on campus.
* Using Excel to analyse and understand performance issues, review costs & availability.
* Building allocations for new menus and ensuring products land to Cafés on time.
* Supporting your manager to manage supplier performance and build long term supplier relationships.
* Preparing reports to assist the Buying manager in making recommendations for the business and sharing with the wider team.
* Managing the purchasing email inbox, being the first point of contact for Café supply issues/ ad hoc requests.
* Being a bridge between suppliers and Cafés, communicating supply issues and helping to find resolutions.
* Collaborating with the wider team and assisting with requests from other departments.
