Job Title: Water Safety Manager
In a role where health and safety are paramount, we are seeking a skilled Water Safety Manager to join our team at Venn Group. As a key member of our Estates – Operations – Maintenance Operations department, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of our community.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in water hygiene management, with experience in managing Legionella and other waterborne pathogens. You will be responsible for maintaining asset and maintenance records, supervising labour, and implementing water safety policies across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Building Management Systems (BMS), while collaborating with organisation staff, contractors, and stores for efficient operations. Additionally, you will provide cost estimates for minor works and ensure projects are within budget.
We are looking for someone who possesses problem-solving and organisational skills, with a qualification either City and Guilds or Water Management Qual. Your experience in contractor management, building services sector expertise, and health and safety awareness will also be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain asset and maintenance records – must be proficient in excel
* Supervise labour and ensure implementation of water safety policies
* Manage Estates tools, vehicles, and equipment
* Supervise contractors to ensure work carried out meets standards, compliance, and value
* Monitor contractor performance, escalate issues, and manage handovers with certifications
* Investigate and resolve technical issues while maintaining business continuity
* Conduct technical assessments, provide advice, and maintain safety permits/documentation
* Support project planning and financial estimates for maintenance works
* Update stakeholders on maintenance impacts and coordinate service shutdowns
* Collaborate with organisation staff, contractors, and stores for efficient operations.
* Provide cost estimates for minor works and ensure projects are within budget
Ideal Candidate Criteria:
1. Qualification either City and Guilds or Water Management Qual
2. Water safety/hygiene management experience
3. Building services sector expertise (commercial/industrial/domestic)
4. Contractor management experience
5. Problem-solving and organisational skills
6. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and BMS)
7. Health and safety awareness (e.g., confined spaces, asbestos, working at height)
